ADHD Testing & Treatment
For adults in Gainesville and across Florida
Get answers & find new ways to thrive.
Do you feel like you’re constantly trying to fit into a world that wasn’t made for you?
Despite giving your all in every area of your life, you still feel misunderstood, overwhelmed, and ashamed that things aren’t as “easy” for you as they are for everyone else.
Struggling to focus, sit still, or remain organized
Feeling incredibly motivated one day and completely depleted the next
Finding daily life and all its tasks to be unmanageable and overwhelming, sometimes to the point that you don’t complete day-to-day responsibilities
Being labeled as “lazy & unmotivated” or “overachieving & perfectionist,” depending on the day
Underperforming in work or school, even though you’re a hard worker
You suspect this could be ADHD, but deciding to seek out answers feels like a really big step.
I get it.
ADHD, or Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder, is an incredibly common mental health concern. Please hear me when I say: it doesn’t mean anything is wrong with you. It simply means your brain works differently—and you’re being forced to live in a world that doesn’t work the same way.
Thousands of people go undiagnosed into adulthood, especially women. This is often due to females displaying fewer behavioral problems and becoming better at masking due to the societal expectation that girls are to be “well-behaved” and “avoid emotional outbursts.”
Here, we’ll remove all that shame and focus on empowering you to better understand yourself, your symptoms, and the systems you need in order to thrive.
ADHD testing & evaluation isn’t just about giving your challenges a name (although that can be very helpful!). It’s also about shedding light on your cognitive abilities & strengths, increasing your access to necessary accommodations, and cultivating self-compassion as you come to better understand the way your unique brain works.
HOW IT WORKS
Assessments & Interview
To get a holistic picture of your experience, we’ll start with assessments completed by you and, if needed, others in your life such as teachers, parents, or partners.
Then, I’ll conduct a clinical interview with you. This 90-minute interview will more deeply explore your symptoms, unique abilities, and areas requiring support.
During this time, I will also determine if you have any additional mental health diagnoses such as Depression, Anxiety, Bipolar Disorder, PTSD, or OCD. (Note: I am not certified to assess or treat for Autism or Asperger’s and will refer you to another specialist if needed.)
QbCheck Testing
Next, you’ll participate in an FDA-certified Continuous Performance Test called QbCheck Testing.
This model is backed by research and provides standardized ADHD data that results in a more efficient diagnosis by objectively measuring inattention, hyperactivity, and impulsivity.
QbCheck is a computer-based test in which you’ll rate your behavior on a rating scale based on prompts given. It will take no longer than 15-20 minutes and results will be provided directly to me for review and assessment.
Scoring & Results
Finally, I’ll compile all of the data from the assessments, clinical interview, and QBCheck test and interpret it to provide a final diagnosis and evaluation.
I prepare a thorough Evaluation Report in written form. This will cover things like your diagnosis, a recommended treatment plan, and any necessary accommodations you might benefit from at work or school.
You and I will meet to review all of these findings, where you’ll have a chance to ask questions and discuss next steps.
Knowledge is power.
As a result of ADHD testing & evaluation, you can:
Gain practical skills to improve structure, routine, and organization
Learn techniques for planning & time management
Improve self-understanding and self-acceptance
Enhance your relationships and feel more understood
Feel better in day-to-day life
Frequently Asked Questions

Yes! That’s exactly what we’ll work to uncover through this process: answers. Often, those who suspect they have ADHD do indeed have the disorder, but sometimes it’s something else. By engaging in an evaluation, we’ll be able to definitively answer this question and provide you with clear, concrete next steps for what you need to thrive in each area of your life.

This is up to you! Pursuing an ADHD diagnosis is a personal decision. Many people find it helpful to get answers about the challenges they’ve been facing. A formal diagnosis can also help you secure accommodations in school, the workplace, and medical settings.
However, not everyone needs a formal diagnosis. Many choose to remain “self-diagnosed” and still seek out resources to better support their unique needs.

The QbCheck test is an FDA-certified test backed by over 20 years of research and 35 studies. It is designed to provide objective, unbiased measurements of core symptoms related to ADHD. As the client, you’ll complete a series of attention-based tasks on a computer. The test then measures:
Accurate responses (attention)
Reaction time (attention)
Commission errors (impulsivity)
Omission errors (attention)
This data is combined with the other findings throughout the evaluation process, allowing me to provide a complete picture of your diagnosis. Learn more about the QbCheck test and the research supporting it here.
